Dr. Natalie Stewart began her oral tie journey years ago while serving the Medicaid population. At the time, she used a hot tip style laser for lip and tongue-tie releases. When she had her second child and had issues nursing, her eyes were opened up to the oral tie world as it pertains to nursing moms. She had her son's ties released by a fellow dentist friend in the oral tie world and decided she wanted to be a part of the solution. After purchasing her dental practice in 2021, Dr. Stewart began training and bought the Light Scalpel CO2 laser, specifically designed for soft issue. Its non contact and low temperature properties makes it ideal for lip and tongue-tie releases.
